The second phase teaching practice's first weekend reflection was conducted on Saturday, June 15th, on Google Meet. Shijini Miss oversaw the reflection. Teena Joy from Govt. HSS Kuzhimathicadu reflected first, mentioning her difficulties in class and having substitute sessions for teaching. Next, Lincy, Harinand, and Parvathy from SKVHSS Thrikkanamangal spoke about the challenges they faced in school. Ashna from St. Mary's Adoor discussed her language barrier issues and initial classroom management problems. Aiswarya and Rahul from Padanilam HSS shared their communication difficulties due to language barriers and their experience with substitute teaching sessions. Amurtha fromKNNM Vocational Higher Secondary School says about their difficulties faced by teaching practice. Divya from Devi Vilasom Vocational Higher Secondary School Thalavoor says about their difficulties faced class room management.
Madhav and I then shared our one-week experience, noting the warm reception from the school. A class on awareness and a pledge related to the care of elderly people were conducted. I also implemented my innovative teaching model this week, and the students actively participated. Sajin and Megha from St. George VHSS Chowalloor shared their positive experiences at the school. Gayathri from MAMHSS chegamanaad says about experience she faced. Ryni and Shehanaz from Marthoma HS Arimurikada talked about their teaching experiences, while Athira and Sneha from Marthoma HS Kottarakara reported a positive experience with cooperative students. Amilu and Nithya from Govt. HSS Anchalumood also shared their positive experiences, and Anjana Rajeev from SNMSHSS Elampalloor reflected on her experiences as well.
From this reflection, I gained insight into the diverse challenges and experiences faced by my peers during their teaching practice and received valuable guidance from Miss to enhance my own teaching methods.
